Monetization update

Presearch is ramping up monetization to ensure we reach our potential as a lending search business with a sustainable and regenerative token ecosystem

Homepage takeovers
BC.Game Continuing throught Saturday. More HPT partners coming soon.
Banner ad optimization
Tweaking placement, frequency and other factors to optimize monetization while we work to become one of the first economically-sustainable crypto projects with a regenerative token ecosystem
eBay/Amazon partnership
Amazon added as a partner and fine tuning eBay results.
New autocomplete monetization unit
We’ll soon be previewing the new autocomplete system wich also includes the ability to monetize.
Additional ad networks
We are preparing to sign a contract with a major AdTech company that provides decentralized AdTech services. More details about this in the coming weeks. This is huge!

Search reward changes

This week, we made a change to usage rewards with the launch of search staking

Rewards for those not staking are now at 0.01 PRE/search
Those who are staking now have the opportunity to stake prove they are legit users and increase their rewards
Still rewarding 25 searches per day
This is an experiment and we are taking feedback as we go
The ultimate model will be a percentage of the overall value generated by a search

Node reward changes

In addition to changes to search rewards, we are making changes to node operator rewards.

Tim has spoken with many node operators this week and everyone realizes rewards have been too good to be true
Current rewards are exorbitant: Gross APY — 1k = 60%, 2k = 56%, 4k = 49%
Over time we will change to dynamic model in line with the monetization strategy
Starting 9/01/2023, the daily node reward pool will be reduced by 7.5% — gradually the pool will change to a dynamic model linked to advertising
Node runner reaction: consolidate, increase stake, take some nodes offline
Decreased PRE in circulation & increased buybacks
